Last month saw Harper Adams University present their Awards to the graduating students of 2014.
The British Society of Soil Science Undergraduate Award is awarded to the student achieving the highest mark on a final year dissertation on a soils related topic. This year the award goes to Henry Waight, BSc Agriculture student whose project was titled ‘An investigation into the effects of the Harper Adams Energy digestate spill on soil mineral nitrogen levels in ‘Poor’s Land’ field’. Henry worked extremely diligently and efficiently on this project, developing excellent research skills and a critical viewpoint. His planning, execution of work and approach throughout was exemplary. Henry receives free membership of British Society of Soil Science for this forthcoming year in recognition of his performance.
