Centre for Contemporary Art and The Natural World

13th May 2015

CCANW has been awarded £16,600 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to support a range of activities which focus on the natural and cultural heritage of soils in the South West.

The award draws attention to the current threats to the health of our soils and will fund a broad mix of participatory activities across the South West designed to make people more aware of the value of their local soils and the rich cultural history of farming in the region.

Other funding for the overall Soil Culture project to date has come from Arts Council England, the Universities of Falmouth, Exeter and Plymouth, South West Soils, British Society of Soil Science, South West Water and our other partners.
