Today the British Society of Soil Science unveils it's first logo for hosting the World Congress of Soil Science in Glasgow in 2022.
We will be using the logo on promotional material over the next 7 years as we journey towards the Congress in Glasgow in August 2022
Delegates attending the Agricultural Land Classification Training Course in Bristol today were treated to a slice of soil cake baked by Leila Wakeham at this morning's coffee break.
Leila, from the Environment Agency, kindly baked the case to celebrate the forthcoming World Soil Day on Friday 5th December.
The next Working with Soil Training course began at 9.30am this morning at the Natural England Offices in Bristol.
17 delegates are spending the next two days learning about Agricultural Land Classification for England and Wales in a course which has been designed by Ian Rugg (Welsh Government), Julie Holloway and Gill Shaw (both Natural England).
