Event description:

The British Society of Soil Science invites you to a fully funded two day Conference for Early Career Scientists at Lancaster University, 19-20 April 2017.

Regardless of what stage you are in your PhD studies, this event will be an excellent platform for you to disseminate your research in an informal, friendly setting and network with fellow soil scientists.

Over two days, we will enhance your knowledge of cutting-edge soil science research as well as develop your skills in how best to communicate your science.

We are excited to announce that Professor Mark Reed from Fast Track Impact will be joining us to give you excellent tools on how to generate impact from your research.

You can also sign up to free additional training sessions on Publication Writing, Grant Writing and Post-doc applications and chat to our scientists and consultants for advice on progressing your career after your PhD.

This year is a very special one for us at BSSS as we will be celebrating our 70th birthday so we will be taking a slightly different approach to our conference dinner. Get your party hats on because we will be rolling back the years at our birthday party with some of your favourite party games - not forgetting the most important part – the birthday cake!

This conference is fully funded for all of our BSSS Student Members and covers registration, accommodation, workshops, seminars and catering.

For queries please contact the office on 01234 754429.
