Dear student members,
I am looking to arrange an informal gathering either on the evening of the annual meeting, or the evening before - or both! The meeting begins at 10.30am and will finish at 7pm.
So if you are stuck in London on either of those two evenings and would like something to do and catch up with your fellow ECR's then PLEASE EMAIL me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get a meeting point arranged for dinner, drinks, whatever you want! You can also contact me on Twitter if that helps - @AshG_SeedSoil.
If you don't know about the annual meeting, or have forgot - the deadline to register is on Monday!! More information below...
BSSS 2017 Annual Meeting is on the 5th of December at the Royal College of Physicians, London. This years meeting will host presentations and a debate on what the "4 per 1000" initiative means for UK soils. We have panelists confirmed, Professor Claire Chennu, Professor Bridget Emmett, Professor David Powlson, Dr Joanna Clark and Dr Abad Chabbi, who will be discussing how feasible this initiative this and what it means for soil management.
We are welcoming abstracts for poster presentations that align to this topic (reducing carbon emissions and increasing soil organic carbon).
The deadline for registration and/or abstract submission is Monday 23rd October. This will include refreshments, and drinks and canapes at the evening networking reception. More information about the event can be found here: http://soils.org.uk/event/1174
Look forward to hearing, and seeing, you all again soon!
