BSSS member Bob Evans took a bunch of students around the southern East Anglian Fens as part of their Anglia Ruskin University MSc degree on Sustainability. He talked about the evolution, drainage and soils of the Fens and tried to relate those not just to past climate changes, sea and water table levels but to archaeology, history, economics, social factors and people in power – in fact anything that could relate to the evolution of the southern Fens.
