Calling all Photographers……..
The British Society of Soil Science would like to mark its 70th anniversary by collecting photographs from Members which shows what Soil means to you.
The photographs can be soil profiles, landscapes, field trips or light hearted moments that mean something to you.
The Society would love to feature the submitted photographs on the website and also use them in literature such as Working with Soil handbooks, Conference advertising and Society promotional material.
All submitted photographs will be uploaded to the website and Society Members will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite. The photograph with the highest number of votes will then be used on the front cover of the June 2016 edition of The Auger. The winner will also receive a £50 gift voucher of their choice.
If we have sufficient photographs then we hope to produce a 2018 BSSS Calendar.
The photograph should :
- Be yours (you must own the rights to the photo)
- A short explanation to identify location, soil type etc
- High Quality (minimum of 5 megapixels)
The competition is open now to Members (2017 subscription must be paid) and entries should be submitted to Ian Brown by no later than 5pm on Monday 3rd April 2017
