4th International Symposium on Phosphorus Dynamics in the Soil-Plant Continuum (ISPDSPC)

This event is now over.

September 19, 2010 — September 23, 2010

Beijing Friendship Hotel, Beijing, China

This Symposium will provide a forum for scientists (from soil scientists, plant ecologists and production agronomists to molecular biologists, plant nutritionists and environment scientists) working on various aspects of phosphorus around the world to share their latest research findings and ideas with an aim of improving our capacity to manage phosphorus cycling and use in a sustainable and economically-viable way. The topic is phosphorus sustaining life. This is expected to advancing the frontiers of knowledge on phosphorus dynamics and management in food-producinSymposium format

The meeting will consist of 3 days of invited and contributed talks, poster viewing and discussions. Attractive post-symposium tours will be organized to cater for a variety of interests (intensive agriculture, Olympic park, culture and history).

Major topics 1) Phosphorus forms and availability in soil 2) Plant acquisition and utilization of phosphorus 3) Genetics and molecular biology of phosphorus nutrition 4) Phosphorus in agricultural, horticultural and forest production 5) Phosphorus dynamics and environmental impact in natural and managed ecosystems 4.
