Hear the varied career pathways from soil scientists currently working in a variety of professional and academic sectors.  Speakers include Professor Dick Godwin (Harper Adams, Cranfield University, Czech University of Life Sciences), Dr Emma Garfield (Gs Growers), Dr Laura Hathaway-Jenkins (Tim O’Hare Associates), Dick Thomson (British Society of Soil Science) and Dr Jack Hannam (Cranfield University).  They will provide a brief overview of their career journey and offer tips and hints of getting on the career ladder in various sectors.  Learn about options available to gain professional chartership from BSSS ad IAgrE and also what you can do to improve your chances of landing a job and getting into your preferred sector.

The meeting is co-sponsored by BSSS, SEESOIL and IAgrE (Institution of Agricultural Engineers) and is FREE for members from both societies or £10 for non-members. A networking lunch is included.
